SUNDAY
When did Warped Tour end up at Canterbury Park? And does that mean I can't go to the races today? Or that if I do, I will have to listen to music that reminds me of how far-removed I've become from my adolescence?
Story of the Sea, God Fires Man, Southerly and Toma the 3rd @ 7th Street Entry, 5 bucks, 8:00. Ian Prince (Story of the Sea) is a very good drummer. Last week I explained to him and others how one would administer an abortion to a male abortion doctor (per the John Carpenter film Pro-Life starring Ron Perlman). I realize this is no way to make friends, but sometimes it works. That said, this looks like a good show that y'all ought to check out.
More Cowbell's Mixed Mag Series with Invisible Boy and Tampered Seal (Jeremy Ylvisaker, Bill Mike, Park Evans and Gregg Schutte) @ the Acadia, 5 bucks, 8:00. Mike (Bill Mike) is a very good guitar player. I can't even begin to detail here the offensive things I've said to him.
Martin Devaney and Jack Torrey @ Turf Club, try the beef/cheese sticks from the vending machine for a dollar, 9:00. Seriously, they're really good.
